A Musical Journey

My musical journey has brought me from Hong Kong to London and to Munich. Having graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts' Junior Music Programme, and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from the Hong Kong Baptist University (First Class Honours), majoring in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, I obtained a scholarship to further my studies at King's College London for my Master of Arts Degree. I am a Licentiate of Trinity College London in Piano Recital (Distinction), having studied with  Prof. Li Ming Qiang, juror of the International Chopin Piano Competition and former Deputy Director of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music; renowned pianist Eva Lue (Royal College of Music, London) and Andrew Ma Cong. I have also performed in masterclasses by Dr. Timothy Woolsey (Texas State University) and Prof. Yang Ming at the Central Conservatory of Beijing.

As pianist I have performed at the Hong Kong Cultural Center, Hong Kong City Hall and the Carl-Orff Saal in Gasteig, Munich. I was involved in the music therapy project SMILE (Singing Music In the Language English), working with Prof. Wolfgang Mastnak of The University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, leading performances at the Alzheimer Hall, Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, Department of Psychiatry; and Ronald McDonald House at German Heart Centre Munich.

My professional music industry experience include executive positions at the Hong Kong Sinfonietta leading marketing campaigns for Le French May concerts by pianists Bertrand Chamayou, Martina Filjak and violinists Laurent Korcia, Nemanja Radulović, Ray Chen, to name a few; and independent arts consultancy, where I was responsible in promoting a wide-range of music and cultural programmes to the public audience.
